Discover Fehmarn - Germany's Island in the Sun

78 km of Baltic coastline with fine sandy beaches, lakes and steep cliffs invite you to the island of Fehmarn. Inland fields and meadows allow you to fully enjoy a hike or bike tour across the island. In May, the blossoms of the rape turn the fields into a shining sea of yellow.

A real spectacle is the view of the sunrise in the east and the sundown on the west coast on the same day. And at nighttimes, the stars shine brighter than you probably imagined.

The island is a real treat for the holiday seekers with its 185 km² and a healthy bracing climate. With approximately 2.200 hours of sun per year, it is one of the sunniest regions in Germany and people like to gently call it the "Hawaii of the North".
