Historical Buildings and Monuments
Fehmarnsund Bridge: The "biggest coat-hanger of the world" was completed in 1963 and has since served as the reliable connection between Germany and the „6th continent" (Fehmarn).
Niobe Monument: The monument at the beach of Gammendorf is to remind us of the sinking of the training sailing boat of Niobe in 1932, when 69 men died.
Stone Age grave: In Wulfen, rebuilt in 2010.
Jimi-Hendrix-Memorial: The Love-and-Peace-Festival at Flügge in September 1970 was the last concert Jimi Hendrix played before his death. This memorial stone near the camping Flügger Strand was set up to honour this day.
Ruin of castle Glambeck: Built in 1210 by the Danish king, the fortress in Burgtiefe was destroyed in 1628 and covered by sand. It was washed free again in 1872 only.

Museum of Mills & Farming: The museum is housed inside the mill „Jachen Flünk", built in 1778. Lemkenhafen, open June till October.

Churches

St.-Jürgen-Chapel in Burg: The gothic red brick building, located on Kapellenweg, is a protestant chapel.
St.-Johannis-Church in Petersdorf: Built in the 13th century. The 64m tower is the tallest on the island and was used as a daylight landmark in shipping.

Lighthouses
Lighthouse Flügge: Built in 1914/15 next to an old light house, this is the only lighthouse on Fehmarn that is open to the public. Climb the 162 steps and enjoy the view. Open April till October.
Lighthouse Marienleuchte: Fehmarns first lighthouse was called "Marienleuchte" to honour the Danish queen Marie Sophie Frederikke. In 1964 a new tower was set up as the old one was too short.
Lighthouse Strukkamphuk: The lighthouse was installed in 1872 and is the smallest on the island.
Lighthouse Staberhuk: Built in 1903 on the south-eastern tip of Fehmarn. The painter Ernst Ludwig Kirchner lived here.
Lighthouse Westermarkelsdorf: Lighthouse on the north-western tip of Fehmarn.
