YouTube

For the embedding and presentation of video content our website uses plug-ins of YouTube. The video portal is provided by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When a page with integrated YouTube plug-in is called up, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells YouTube which of our pages you have visited.

YouTube can directly link your surfing behaviour to your personal profile, if you are logged in to your YouTube account. By logging out beforehand you can prevent this.

YouTube is used to attractively present our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Details on the handling of user data can be found in the YouTube privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB&gl=de.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your end device. Cookies help us to make our offers more customer-friendly, effective and safe.
Some cookies are "session cookies" which are deleted automatically after the end of your browser session. Other cookies remain on your end device until you delete them yourself. Such cookies help us to recognise you when you return to our website.

With a modern web browser you can monitor, restrict or prevent the placing of cookies. Many web browsers can be configurated so that cookies are deleted automatically when you close the program. Deactivating cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.

The placement of cookies, which are necessary for electronic communication processes or the provision of certain functions requested by you (e.g. shopping basket), is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f DSGVO. As operators of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and smooth provision of our services. If other cookies are placed (e.g. for analysis functions), this will be treated separately in this Privacy Notice.

You will find further information to Cookies and your options for modifications in our Cookie Notice.

Google Analytics

Our website uses features of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of the web analysis service is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Irland.

Google Analytics uses "cookies." These are small text files that your web browser stores on your end device that make the analysis of website activity possible. Information generated by cookies about your use of our website is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. Server location is usually in the USA.

The setting of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analysing visitor behaviour in order to optimise our website and, where applicable, our advertising.

IP anonymisation

We use Google Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymisation function. It ensures that Google shortens your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before sending it to the USA. There may be exceptional cases in which Google transfers the full IP address to a server in the USA and shortens it there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to create reports on website activities and to provide us with further services associated with the use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

Browser Plugin

Your webbrowser can prevent the placement of cookies. This might lead to a limited functionality of our website. You can also prevent the collection of data concerning your use of the website including your IP address and the subsequent data processing by Google. For this purpose download and install the browser plugin from: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

Objections to data collection

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by using the following link. An opt-out-cookie is set to prevent the collection of your information for future visits to our site: Deactivate Google Analytics

Details on the handling of user data at Google Analytics can be found in the Google privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Order processing

In order to fully comply with the legal data protection requirements, we have signed a contract with Google for order processing.

Demographic characteristics at Google Analytics

Our website uses the "demographic features" function of Google Analytics. It can be used to generate reports that contain information about the age, gender and interests of visitors of the site. This data is taken from interest-based advertising by Google as well as from visitor data from third parties. It is not possible to relate the data to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time. You can do this by changing the ad settings in your Google Account or by generally prohibiting the collection of your data by Google Analytics, as explained in the section "Objections to data collection".

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

Our website uses Google AdWords. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Irland.

AdWords is an online advertising program. As part of the online advertising program we work with conversion tracking. After a click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Google AdWords cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. The cookie enables Google and us to recognize that you have clicked on an ad and been directed to our site.

Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through websites of AdWords customers. Conversion cookies are used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn how many users clicked on their ad and were redirected to pages with conversion tracking tags. However, AdWords customers do not receive any information that allows for personal identification of users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt out. In this case, the conversion cookie must be deactivated in the user settings of the browser. In this way, no inclusion in the conversion tracking statistics takes place.

The storage of "conversion cookies" is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. As website operators, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website and our advertising.

Details on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in the Google data protection regulations: https://policies.google.com/privacy?gl=de&hl=en-GB.

With a modern web browser you can monitor, restrict or prevent the placement of cookies. Deactivating cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.

Google Web Fonts

Our website uses Google’s Web Fonts. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Irland.

By using these web fonts it is possible to provide you with the presentation of our website as desired, regardless of the fonts that are available locally. This is done by obtaining the Google Web Fonts from a Google server in the USA and the associated transfer of your data to Google: your IP address and the page you have visited on our website. The use of Google Web Fonts is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the optimal presentation and transmission of our web presence.

The Google company is certified for the US-European data protection convention "Privacy Shield". This data protection agreement is designed to ensure compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

Details about Google Web Fonts can be found at: https://www.google.com/fonts#AboutPlace:about and further information can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=en-GB.

Facebook social plug-ins

Our website uses social plug-ins ("plugins") of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook").

The plug-ins can be recognized by one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on blue tile or a "thumbs-up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and appearance of the Facebook Social Plug-ins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins?locale=en_US.

If you call up a website of our Internet site that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plug-in is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which integrates it into the website. We therefore have no influence on the amount of data that Facebook collects and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: by integrating the plug-ins, Facebook receives the information that you have called up the that page of our website. If you are logged in with Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-in, for example, if you push the "Like" button or make a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there.

If you are not a member on Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and save your IP address.

To find out about the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the Facebook data protection notice: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php. If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect data about you via our website and link it with your membership data stored on Facebook, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. It is also possible to block Facebook social plug-ins with add-ons for your browser, for example with the "Facebook Blocker".

Facebook pixels

We use pixels from Facebook to measure conversion. The provider is Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to Facebook, however, the data collected in this way is also transmitted to the USA and other third countries.

With the Facebook pixel, the behavior of our website visitors can be tracked after they have been redirected to our website by clicking on an advertisement on Facebook. This allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize them for future advertising.

The data collected is anonymous for us as the website operator. We cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data guidelines. In this way, Facebook can enable the placement of advertisements on Facebook pages as well as outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.

The use of Facebook pixels is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media. If a corresponding consent was requested (e.g. by consent to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found at https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum and https://de-de.facebook.com/help/566994660333381
Insofar as personal data is collected on our website and forwarded to Facebook using the tool described here, we and Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Article 26 DSGVO). Joint responsibility is limited to collecting the data and passing it on to Facebook. The processing by Facebook after the forwarding is not part of the joint responsibility. Our joint obligations have been set out in a joint processing agreement. The wording of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for issuing data protection information when using the Facebook tool and for implementing the tool on our website in a secure manner in accordance with data protection law. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook products. You can assert your rights (e.g. requests for information) regarding the data processed on Facebook directly on Facebook. If you assert the rights of data subjects with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.

You will find further information on protecting your privacy in Facebook's data policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy

You can also deactivate the "Custom Audiences" remarketing function in the Ad Settings section at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate usage-based advertising from Facebook on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: https://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
